Jeff grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, and after graduating from J.L. Mann High School, he continued his formal education at the University of South Carolina earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a double major in Real Estate and Management. Upon completing his undergraduate degree, he moved to Atlanta and earned a Master of Science in Real Estate from Georgia State University. While working on his Master’s degree, he went to work for a local commercial real estate firm (Richard Bowers & Company) as a market and financial analyst and later as Director of Research.
In 1999, Jeff began a successful 18-year career in the mortgage business with Shelter Mortgage as a Loan Officer. In his first year in the business, he was recognized by the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia (MBAG) as Rookie of the Year in 2000. Additionally, he was recognized by MBAG as a top producer in the state for each of the next 17 years.
Jeff met his wife Andrea when they were both six years old. While in graduate school, they began to date, and they were married in 1993. Together, they raised two Eagle Scouts, Andrew and David, and recently welcomed Kelly, Andrew’s wife, to the family. Jeff resides with Andrea and his son, David, in Johns Creek, Georgia. A life-long soccer player and outdoorsman, he volunteers and coaches with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for FCA Soccer Atlanta. He also serves as a team chaplain for Atlanta United FC.
